Pedro Tironi Music Teacher
Always curious and a lifelong learner, Pedro began exploring musical pathways as a teenager. As both an accomplished musician and music therapist, Pedro is moved by the intuition that music can be an effective medium to foster communication and holistic development. Pedro has been teaching music - guitar, piano, and music theory - to students of all ages for over 20 years in music academies, conservatories, and his own studio.
A native of Chile, Pedro worked as a certified music therapist in Chile and Argentina, specializing in hearing loss, autistic spectrum, and psychiatric disorders. He came to Canada in 2019 with the support of a scholarship from the National Fund for the Development of Culture and the Arts (Chile) to pursue the Master of Teaching degree at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Prior to joining Third Schools, Pedro taught music in inner city schools with the Toronto District Board of Education between 2022 and 2024.
In addition to his Master of Teaching, Pedro holds a Bachelor of Arts (Music Performance) from the University of Chile, a Bachelor's in Music Therapy from the University of Salvador (Argentina), and a MA in Music from the Catalunya College of Music. In his spare time, Pedro reads, plays guitar, and likes to be active. Biking and being outside are some of his favourite things.
