Bursaries

LYNX, a member of the Third Schools family, is an independent school. While we receive per-student funding from Alberta Education, these grants do not fully offset our operational costs. We would not be able to provide a LYNX program if we did not charge tuition fees.

Many independent schools offer scholarships/bursaries to offset tuition fees. LYNX offers bursaries so all parents can afford this choice for their children. The bursary awarded should be fair to your family and fair to LYNX as we operate as a charity.

Be assured that Third Schools was founded on the premise that we are a community school serving all families with students that would benefit from our program, regardless of the families’ financial circumstances. We’ve always been a “school with a heart” and we have served the public good since 1997 by:

• • Operating as a registered charity
  • Making our fee structure as affordable as possible
  • Applying a “sliding scale” to tuition so that families pay fees based on their ability to pay
  • Offering flexible payment plans to manage your budget
