Dean Ingram Teacher
Dean Ingram BSc (Biology -1992), BEd (1992), MEd (School Leadership - 2000) was born and raised in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. A Memorial University alumni, Mr. Ingram has been teaching for 30 years, specializing in math and sciences. He has been a classroom teacher and Principal. He taught students throughout Newfoundland & Labrador online for over two decades. He has been actively involved in curriculum development and various other initiatives with the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education. He has been part of the ursa school community since the 2022-23 academic year and taken on a Leadership role as the Associate Principal ursa and Third Schools' Numeracy Lead.
Mr. Ingram has dedicated his life to the service of others and has served on a number of volunteer boards. In 2020 he was awarded the Newfoundland and Labrador Award for Bravery for his actions in responding to a Motor Vehicle Accident.
In his spare time, Mr. Ingram enjoys the outdoors. He enjoys camping and being on the water every chance he can get. He is a big game hunter and enjoys his snowmobile and ATV. During his university years, he was a student athlete and wrestled for the Memorial University team. He is still an avid sports fan and you will find him paying close attention to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has now taken up running and is hoping to run a marathon in the near future.
