An eclectic homeschooling mom to two children, Farren has worked in a variety of teaching settings, including traditional classrooms for Edmonton Public Schools, high-needs Head start classrooms, and outdoor education River Valley courses through the City of Edmonton. Passionate about learning and working alongside such a fantastic HEM team with ursa, just start talking about discovery-based learning and the traits of a learner and the conversation will be rolling. Besides the abundance of quality time, Farren’s favorite part of homeschooling is the flexibility to camp, travel, and explore in the off-seasons together. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, gardening and community organizing, good food with friends, and live music.
