Tina Parish Teacher

Tina graduated with her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. She then completed her Master’s in Leadership and Administration at the University of Phoenix.
Tina spent 10 years teaching grades K-4 in Cold Lake, Alberta. For 5 of those years, she was the music specialist. During her time in Cold Lake, Tina started teaching the educational assistant program through Lakeland College. For the last 20 years, Tina has worked and is currently working for Red Deer Polytechnic, Bow Valley College, Carlton Trail College, and Northwest College, teaching both the Education Assistant (EA) and Early Learning and Chilld Care (ELCC) programs. Tina is also a trained Kindermusik educator and started her business Kindermusik with T in 2007.

After 10 years in Cold Lake, she returned to her home province of Saskatchewan. She now resides in Humboldt, SK with her husband and 3 children, ages 11, 15, and 19. While in Humboldt, she taught grades 1-9 for 10 years. In her downtime, Tina enjoys traveling, running, and watching live sporting events and concerts. She is also busy running her kids around to their sporting events. Nothing is better than being able to watch her children do what they love to do. Tina has played the piano since she was 3. She has her Grade 8 Conservatory in piano and also enjoys to play the saxophone.

Tina started with Third Schools as an ursa online teacher in 2022. She currently is teaching elementary Math and English Language Arts (ELA) along with Social Studies grades 1-9. Tina believes that every student has their own set of personal and unique qualities. She provides a stimulating and safe educational environment where students can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. She knows that teaching is a process of learning from your students, colleagues, and parents.
