Tracy Gilluley Principal ursa

With being an educator for close to thirty years, Tracy Gilluley is excited to be part of an amazing team focused on building a community of students learning from home. She is a strong believer in finding new ways to meet the needs of students and in providing educational choices to families.

Before being awarded a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, Mrs. Gilluley completed Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She took a particular interest in educational reform movements and upon graduation, she started her own independent special needs Kindergarten. Working closely with the professionals from the Alberta Children’s Hospital, she worked to bridge the worlds of therapy and education. Through the years, Mrs. Gilluley has had the opportunity to lead school teams in various roles. From Mathematics Department Head to Head of School, she has taken pride in helping educators become master teachers and providing opportunities for them to grow into leadership roles. She has had the opportunity to be a teacher in multiple classrooms and has taught students from Kindergarten to grade 12 in all subject areas. From the gifted and talented student to the reluctant and struggling learner, Mrs. Gilluley finds true passion in helping students reach their potential.

When not working, Mrs. Gilluley can be found either watching her oldest daughter in a show jumping ring or watching her youngest daughter complete on a dance stage. Reading and creating memories with her family bring her joy.
